for business owners -

Use AI in your business to win back the hours lost to repetitive work.

Practical AI guidance for business owners who'd rather reply to customers faster, write proposals faster, and close the laptop on time, without learning a new platform or hiring a tech team.

A free 30-minute conversation. No slides, no pitch.

what owners actually ask -
  • "Inquiries pile up across email, DMs and chat. Can AI help triage?"
  • "We waste hours rewriting the same proposal and quote."
  • "Follow-ups keep slipping. How do we stay on top of leads?"
  • "Can it work in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati?"
Real questions from the last few months.
the work owners quietly hate doing -

Small workflows. Real hours back.

The same handful of jobs eat every owner's week — inquiries that wait too long, follow-ups that never went out, books that pile up to month-end, reviews you keep meaning to reply to. None of it is glamorous. All of it adds up. Filter by what your business actually looks like.

Inquiries from every channel, answered fast and on-brand

Email, contact-form, DM, chat, WhatsApp — the first reply is what wins or loses most deals. Warm, specific drafts ready in seconds, in the language the customer wrote in, so leads stop slipping through evenings and weekends.

Following up on leads before they go cold

The discovery call from last Tuesday, the demo no-show, the abandoned cart, the website form — picked up with a specific, human-sounding nudge. The single highest-ROI habit most owners admit they're bad at.

Drafting proposals, quotes, scopes and invoices in minutes

From a few notes, a call transcript or a thread, to a clean first draft — proposal, SOW, quote, or invoice — that you tweak and send. The blank page goes away. Works for retainers, project work, and one-off engagements.

Polite, consistent payment and renewal follow-ups

Receivables and renewals chased without anyone in your team having to feel awkward about it. Same warm tone, every time, with the right context attached — invoice number, last conversation, due date.

Replying to reviews and ratings across every platform

Specific, gracious replies in seconds — even to the unfair ones — across Google, marketplaces, app stores, listing sites and industry directories. You still hit send. Your search and category ranking quietly thanks you.

Appointment, session and demo reminders that actually work

Reminders that sound like your front desk, not a bot. Reschedule offers when someone misses, instead of a lost slot or a no-show. Often pays for itself in a single month for booking-heavy businesses.

A weekly content and marketing rhythm you actually keep

A small, steady drumbeat of posts, emails, captions, stories, newsletters and offers — planned around what's actually happening in your business this week, not generic templates someone forgets to post.

Keeping the CRM honest, from real conversations

Calls, threads, emails and meeting notes turned into clean CRM entries with the right tags and next steps, so your pipeline reflects this week's reality — not last quarter's wishful thinking.

Books, GST and finance paperwork without the late nights

Pull numbers off bills, invoices and statements, sort them into the right ledger, and prepare first-draft monthly summaries your accountant or CA can verify, instead of building from a blank sheet at month-end.

Manual data entry no software handles

The spreadsheets, PDFs, statements and forms your team retypes by hand every week — sorted, matched and entered cleanly, with a person reviewing before it's saved. Quietly removes hours from someone's calendar.

Capturing how your best people actually work

Turn the way your senior staff, top closers or experienced practitioners handle things into SOPs, scripts and training notes a new hire can follow on day one. Less critical knowledge stuck in two or three heads.

Custom workflows no off-the-shelf tool fits

The odd, in-between work your team does manually because no software covers it — onboarding flows, reporting, hand-offs between tools — stitched together with small AI helpers built around how you already operate.

why this practice exists -

Most owners don't need more AI tools. They need someone to help them get a few hours back.

The real wins from AI right now aren't dramatic. They're quiet: the WhatsApp inbox cleared by 7pm, the proposal drafted in fifteen minutes instead of two hours, the review response that didn't need a meeting.

That's all this practice tries to do, find the two or three places where AI saves your team real time, set them up properly, and make sure the people who actually do the work are comfortable with them.

I'm Jai. I studied computer science at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, did my Masters at Iowa State, and spent four years at Microsoft on Xbox and Bing. In 2017 I started Better, a software practice that has worked with 30+ companies (most US-founded, backed by Sequoia, Techstars and Google) on around $100M of revenue impact. I'm also building Operate, an AI agent for production incidents.

I started this small practice because I kept seeing Indian business owners pay for AI tools they never actually used. So the work here is deliberately simple, and you'll work with me end to end. No salesperson, no account manager, no handoff.

how this works -

A small, calm process.
Three steps, no surprises.

First

We have a chat.

About 30 minutes. You tell me how your business actually runs day to day, the customers, the team, the parts that drain time.

Then

I find two or three useful spots.

Not fifty. Just the few places where AI will quietly save real hours, or make a customer reply feel a bit warmer and faster.

After

We get your team using it.

I sit with the people who'll actually use the tools. We make sure it sticks, not on a slide deck, in real Tuesday-afternoon work.
